    Welcome:

Welcome to the Poetry Challenge website, created to provide you with information of the annual Poetry Challenge held in London and to inspire you to hold your own Poetry Challenge in your local area.

    The Poetry Challenge
    in London 2019:

We welcome people of all ages to recite a poem learnt by heart. Singers or musicians are welcome too!

We ask all performers to get sponsored to raise money for a charity. This event is the alternative of a marathon run for fundraising.

Local poet Liz Uter will sign certificates for reciters and act as prompters if you bring a copy of your poem with you. Claudia Boulton will be our compere.

    Our Mission:

The Poetry Challenge is a fundraising event, encouraging people of all ages to learn a poem by heart and recite it to an audience, raising money for charity.

Putting the fun back into fundraising!  Spreading the enjoyment of poetry!
